Hello friends and family!

Well this transfer has been everything I hoped it would be. I love Sister Mackenize, we get along perfectly! We share meals, we do each other's dishes, we laugh about everything....okay you get it. I have wanted to serve with her my whole mission and I am so grateful I finally have the opportunity to. This transfer is already much smoother and much happier than last transfer.

Well I do have a few funny stories this week. The other day we were going through some lists of people in the ward and we came across something that said "MHI" next to the address. I was not sure what that meant or if it had great significance at all so I basically brushed it off and forgot about it. Well yesterday we were trying to find the address and all of a sudden the houses stopped and there was a huge group of buildings that were fenced off. It looked like a prison at first, that's what we thought anyway. So we kept driving until finally we came to a sign that said, "Mental Health Institution" (MHI). It all started to click. So we went in to try to find the guy and the place was so quiet that we were a little bit freaked out. Finally we found a lady behind a desk and she lit up when she saw us. We told her who we were looking for and then she said, "What ward is he in?" Immediately I thought she was a member and she was asking about a church ward but then I realized she was talking about a psych ward! Haha, it was pretty funny.

Another funny story...the Elders "borrowed" our rice cooker a few weeks ago and then decided that they did not want to give it back. So we decided to be really mean and take their "Preach My Gospel's" because they left their truck unlocked. Well they didn't say anything for a almost a week so we started taking pity on them and thinking they were oblivious. Well at church Sunday they took our keys and distracted us while the other one got into our car and stole them back! So later we were driving by their place and we stopped to see if their side door was open. It was locked but luckily, it's broken and you can just wiggle it open. So we got our rice cooker back without a fight. Well a couple hours later when we were actually making the rice, I realized that we forgot the bowl/pot that goes inside the rice cooker. So we booked it as fast as we could before they got home for dinner. They know we got them good so they have not said a word!

This weekend we got to travel up to Colorado Springs for a Sisters Conference. We have been bugging President about having something without the Elders for a while. The 12 of us are spread out all over the mission so sometimes we feel disconnected from the other Sisters. It was an amazing conference! The spirit was very strong and it was so nice to hear testimonies of other sisters and how they are coping with challenges that a mission brings. I have been blessed to serve around incredible women throughout my mission. Oh yeah, the Elders are alright too!

This week we are focusing a ton on less active work. It's hard to know where to start but we are just going through the list and visiting everyone that we can get to. We have seen some miracles and we are hoping to see a lot more soon.

Well I love you all. I hope you are doing well. I am grateful for my mission for so many reasons. This is the best spiritual journey that I could have ever chosen. I miss you a lot. Have a good week.
